March 25, 2020 News
Dear Spooner Members and Patrons,
With the warm weather melting the snow away daily! We will begin to prepare the driving range and golf course for play. We have about 30% coverage on the range and 60% on the course. The good news is that the course will be in great shape and have limited or now winter kill.
The bad news is that under Governor Evers’ executive order, as we are considered a “non-essential” business. Therefore, we are currently closed. I know that the Wisconsin PGA and The WSGA are pleading their case to the Governor and trying to express the need for outside activities. I know you would all agree that playing golf would be a great outdoor activity!
If this changes? We will be sending out information that will be critical to keeping players safe while at Spooner Golf Club. We will need everyone to follow those guidelines to ensure safety for our members, patrons, and employees.
The last two years, we have not opened until May 1st, so if we can open before that it will be a great thing. Please keep safe thru this very difficult time and we look forward to seeing all of you when we open!
